Vertical Blinds
Vertical Blinds are a sleek, sophisticated vertical window treatment that gives patio doors and large windows drama and dimension while maintaining privacy and light control.
Vertical blinds are best for windows that are wider than they are tall, slide from side to side, and sliding doors. There are many options to choose from which include fabric, vinyl and aluminum slats. You can even add a touch of elegence to your vertical blinds with the Soft Sheer Vertical Treatment. This provides a sheer fabric to wrap around the vertical blind.

Light Control & Insulation
Vertical blind window treatments provide
a practical and attractive solution for controlling light and
providing insulation in any room. They reflect solar heat and
reduce air conditioning costs by minimizing heat transfer passed
through windows. Vertical blinds offer a complete
line of solid, perforated, textured, and embossed PVC vane
patterns as well as several stitch bond fabrics. In addition
to a wide array of colors and patterns, a variety of valance
and control options are available as well. The PVC vane materials
contain UV inhibitors and provide room darkening opacity to
block sun light.

Wand Control Option
The wand control system replaces the standard cord and chain control system with a heavy-duty fiberglass wand that rotates the vanes open and closed. In addition the wand unit also moves the vanes along the blind headrail traversing the blind to the open position allowing full view of the outside or closed. This feature provides for added child safety eliminating all cords and chains that could cause strangulation.
Motorized Options
The motorized control system is used to rotate vanes open
or closed at the touch of a button and is especially useful
for hard to reach windows. The Motorized controls are always
more expensive.

Care Instructions
Vertical Blinds rarely need to be cleaned
because the vanes hang vertically. However, the vanes will
eventually pick up dust and depry due to humidity, smoke, and
steam.
PVC Vinyl Vanes
Use a mild soap and a warm water solution with a soft cloth.
Do not use abrasives or any strong cleaners because they will
distort the vanes pattern and color and may even leave scratches.
Dry with a soft towel to avoid any water marks.
Fabric Vanes
Using a feather duster or vacuum will keep the dust off and
the fabric looking clean. For any stains, you can use a mild
soap and warm water. Because the fabric color might change
due to cleaning, always check in a spot that will not be noticable.
Never machine wash or dry clean.
Installing Vertical Blinds
Before you begin installing your blinds, you will need to make
sure you have the right fasteners to hang your vertical blinds.
If you are mounting to a wood surface, you will need a hex
head screw (no. 6 size).
Mounting into a drywall or plaster surface will cause you to
need more support. It is recommended that you use a wall anchor
or expansion bolt.
If you are mounting into metal or steel, you will need a sheet
metal screw or self tapping screw and you might need to pre-drill
a hole.
