Measuring Your Blinds
Download an order form to
help you keep track of each window you measure.
When you are measuring there are two options to hang your window coverings. They can be mounted inside the window frame or outside the window frame. It is important to decide which one you want before you order because the blinds will be made different depending on which one you choose.

Measuring
Guide for Vertical Blinds
Here are a few tips to help you get a good measurement on your window.
- When you measure you windows, measure each window individually. Even though they appear the same, there are usually differences between them.
- Record width first, then height (also referred to as length) to the nearest 1/8".
- Use a steel tape measure, not a cloth tape.
- When measuring the width, measure the top of the window and the bottom of the window, and use the smaller measurement.

Installing Your Blinds
Before you begin installing your blinds, you will need to make
sure you have the right fasteners to hang your vertical blinds.
If you are mounting to a wood surface, you will need a hex
head screw (no. 6 size).
Mounting into a drywall or plaster surface will cause you to
need more support. It is recommended that you use a wall anchor
or expansion bolt.
If you are mounting into metal or steel, you will need a sheet
metal screw or self tapping screw and you might need to pre-drill
a hole.
